In marketing, one of the important factors for a business to consider is "trends". What are the consumers into and how they feel about it? How does the product or service the company provides fit into those needs?
Trends can also indicate areas of opportunity the company can take advantage of or weaknesses to address.
Life is the same thing. I remember a professor once giving me a life lesson (bundled in with a tip about how to get the most out of his lectures and what would more than likely be on his tests!). He told me that if he repeats a fact during a lecture then he considers it important. The more often he repeated the fact the importance he placed on it. Life can behave the same way as my professor, especially when an event or occurrence happens repeatedly. An event that happens twice may be a coincidence, but if it happens more often, it would probably do us good to see if there is a trend that's happening, and determine if it's an opportunity to take advantage of or a weakness to address.
I've come to the conclusion that recognizing these trends and not taking action on these opportunities (due to fear or lack of confidence) is the same as going through life stuck on Autopilot. Its not really living and experiencing life. Jay Shetty host and creator of the "On Purpose" podcast and self help guru, took Eleanor Roosevelt's famous quote "What would you do if you knew you could not fail?" And reframed it to read "What would you do if you had no fear of failure?"
Drone Tip Speaking of Autopilot, one quick tip regarding drone flying that I learned the other night- Before going out to fly, make sure ALL firmware updates are done at home: batteries, controllers, the drone and apps- all of them! I was all set to film a sunset over a reservoir and missed a good chunk of the event due to having critical updates that had to be done before flight. Don't make my same mistakes and miss out on important shots! Check to make sure your updates are "up to date"!
