Happy Birthday Mom!!!
"Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy." —St. Francis of Assisi
Understanding Fear and Love.
Today is May 10, and the lovely lady picture above, my mom, is celebrating her birthday today and my family in turn is celebrating her.
What I’ve come to appreciate about her is how full of love she is and embodies this with every action and thought/speech she made. She rarely shows she is afraid and even now when she struggles to remember things she’s still upbeat and loving without fear.
Fear is present when there is an absence of love.
If we think about it, this makes a lot of sense.
We don’t tell people how we really feel because we are “afraid“ of hurting the other persons feelings (If our motives are constructive and out of love there shouldn’t be any fear present) and how they’ll treat us in return (if something is said out of love and is still construed negatively then we know in our hearts what we meant and we can’t control how what we say is interpreted).
We don’t take particular actions because we are afraid of how we are judged and perceived by others. If we love ourselves so much and are confident in ourselves, why do the opinions and judgments of others matter?
In the presence of love fear is diminished and what we put out to the universe is brought back to us. Basically the universe mirrors to us what we put out there. What do you want to put out to the universe?
Thank You Mom.
I should have paid more attention to how she interacted with everything and everyone, because I would have seen prime examples of how little fear is present when love is abundant.
I have challenged myself to respect fear and to see where I can introduce more love in life and offer a challenge for you to do the same.
What parts of your life can you look at through the eyes of love? Get curious, change your perceptions and let more love into your life and see the difference it makes. Here’s to love. I Love you, dear reader.
I love you mom. Happy birthday.
